| 1 | ESRI or Ethiopian School Readiness Initiative is a pre-school effort to provide the learning, cognitive and psychosocial skills to youngsters so that they succeed by the time they get to first grade. As a result of these efforts many targeted children have already learned to read prior to entering first grade. Three members of the ESRI team are outside one the the school sites in Addis Ababa.
